Mission
The mission of Minnesota Association for Family and Early Education (MNAFEE) is to promote, advocate for, and strengthen parent education, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), and early childhood programming in public schools.

Mission
The mission of Minnesota Association for Family and Early Education (MNAFEE) is to promote, advocate for, and strengthen parent education, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), and early childhood programming in public schools.
Guiding Principles
- Foster networking and support for parent education and early childhood education professionals.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development to enhance the competency and capacity of parent educators, early childhood educators, and administrators.
- Advocate for laws and policies to strengthen and support parent education, ECFE, and early childhood programming in public schools.
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of research-driven best practices that guide professionals toward high standards of high quality and ethics.
- Advocate for research and evaluation to guide improvement and accountability in parent education, ECFE, and early childhood programming in public schools.
- Engage in collaborative partnerships with community organizations and other publicly funded programming to enhance a shared mission for children, parents, families, and communities.
Goal One - Professional Development
MNAFEE will promote professional development for parent educators and early childhood educators by providing training, mentoring, and collaboration with partner organizations to uphold professional standards.
Goal Two - Advocacy
MNAFEE will advocate for public policies that support parent education, ECFE, and early childhood education in public schools. MNAFEE will create an annual legislative agenda and support members in driving lobbying efforts. MNAFEEE will support members to advocate through training, resources, and coordinated messages.
Goal Three - Public Awareness
MNAFEE will build statewide public awareness of parent education, ECFE, and early childhood education programming in public schools through an intentional social media presence and active engagement with other organizations and efforts impacting our mission. In addition, MNAFEE will support local public awareness efforts by providing members with easy to use tools and templates.
Goal Four - Quality
MNAFEE will promote programs that support and educate children and parents with integrity and research based information. MNAFEE will promote the professionalization of parent education and early childhood with an ongoing commitment toward licensure and appropriate compensation. MNAFEE will engage in continuous improvement practices as informed by the statewide needs assessment work, data collections systems, and evaluations.
Goal Five - Organizational Growth
MNAFEE will pursue organizational growth by responsively serving the needs of the membership. MNAFEE will serve all districts throughout the state and will seek statewide representation on the governing board and standing committees.
